SUMMARY:Seminar "Rissverklebung in Leinwandgemälden"
DESCRIPTION:Die Fachgruppe Gemälde lädt vom 10.-12.05.2017 zu einem dreitägigen Kurs zum Thema „Rissverklebung. Techniken der Einzelfadenverklebung zum Schließen von Rissen in Leinwandgemälden“ ein. Mit Vorträgen\, Demonstrationen und praktischen Übungen machen die beiden Referentinnen\, Petra Demuth und Hannah Flock von der Technische Hochschule Köln (CICS)\, die Teilnehmer mit der Technik der Einzelfadenverklebung vertraut.\nVeranstaltungsort sind mit freundlicher Unterstützung des LVR – Amt für Denkmalpflege im Rheinland – die Werkstätten in Brauweiler/Pulheim.

SUMMARY:"CARE!" Conservation and Restoration Conference
DESCRIPTION:The first “CARE!” Conference will take place on the 11-12th May 2017 at the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw\, Poland. “CARE! Conservation and REstoration Conference” is organised by the Editorial Board of ICAR (International Journal of Young Conservators and Restorers of Works of Art) in cooperation with the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and the Academic Student Association of the Faculty. Partner of this year’s Conference is the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart.\nThe conference is two-part: on the first day there will be presentations by authors of articles in the 1st issue of ICAR\, accompanied by a discussion panel on publishing of academic papers. On the second day students and academic staff from the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Stuttgart and the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw will present their latest projects under a general topic “Honouring the Past\, Entering the Future”. This part of the conference will be accompanied by a poster exhibition presenting current research and conservation projects conducted by the staff of the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
