SUMMARY:Norwegian X-RAY conference
DESCRIPTION:The conference will take place on 5.-7. September 2022 and the location is Strand Hotel Fevik in Southern Norway.\nThe aim of conference is to bring together industrial and academic experts and users of XRD and XRF in Scandinavia with manufacturers and suppliers of analysis instruments\, preparation equipment\, reference materials and other chemicals. \n  \nThis year we have a special focus on the use of handheld XRF in different markets\, particularly in the field of conservation and archaeology. The last decades handheld XRF instruments has become a useful instrument for material analysis on objects of art and cultural heritage. \n  \nNew this year is a short course in HH-XRF monday morning (5. September 2022) before the conference starts at lunch. The final program will be published as soon as possible after the registration is completed. DESCRIPTION:The IIC Council and New Zealand Conservators of Cultural Material: Pū Maanaki Kahurangi\, are delighted that our 29th Congress\, ‘Conservation and Change: Response\, Adaptation and Leadership’ will take place online and in-person\, 5 – 9 September 2022. \nThis year’s Congress will be a hybrid format – in a bid to be a more climate friendly\, inclusive and accessible event. \nOur provisional programme can now be viewed online here and includes: \n\nHigh quality talksfrom speakers around the world\, with topics ranging from collaborating with the Sami community in northern Europe; developing local conservation practices in Indonesia; caring for rock art of Kakadu National Park\, Australia; decolonising a museum collection in Britain; implementing climate mitigations across the planet.\nRegional Live Hub sessionsin Europe\, Asia-Pacific + India\, Africa\, North America\, South America and Caribbean.\nPoster Sessions and Virtual tours\nOnline only networking and meeting opportunitiesfor attendees including IIC students\, Fellows and the Regional Group members.\nThe 2022 Forbes Prize Lecture from Vicki-Anne Heikell NZCM\n\nRegistration for in-person attendance \nOur Congress live venue will be the National Library of New Zealand in Wellington. \n– £150 (IIC Members) \n– £250 (Non-members) \nThe venue has limited capacity for 150 people to attend in-person –  registration is prioritized for IIC members until 1 July. \nTo secure your place to attend in-person you will need to enter the Access Code: IICCongress2022 \nFurther details regarding what’s included with your registration\, accommodation and terms & conditions for registration can be found here. \nRegister for in-person attendance here \n  \nRegional Live Hubs and Online Participation \nAs a continuation from the last Congress\, we will also be hosting 5 virtual Regional Hubs for Europe\, India and South East Asia\, Africa\, North America and South America +Caribbean regional time zones.
