SUMMARY:Online conference: Facing Climate Change
DESCRIPTION:The Leibniz Association of Research Museums and University of Cambridge Museums are delighted to announce their online conference ‚Focus on Conservation: Facing Climate Change‚ on 29th November to 2nd December 2022. \n\nClimate change is creating new threats to the preservation of cultural heritage. Museums may already struggle to provide the best possible care for their collections\, and with increasing weather extremes and shifting pest species ranges\, the challenges are mounting. This virtual conference will address some of the issues\, exploring sustainable pest management; protecting collections and heritage from climate change; using more environmentally friendly conservation methods and incorporating these themes into conservation education. DESCRIPTION:On 30 November 2022\, the CHARTER Alliance welcomes to a free one-day conference on the topic of present and future digital strategies for cultural heritage. It takes palace in connection to the CHARTER Alliance’s General Meeting\, which gathers the project members from 28-30 November in Rome\, Italy.\nBoth the General Meeting and the open conference day are organised by the Fondazione Scuola dei beni e delle attività culturali. For project members\, the General Meetings is a key event to discuss\, exchange and assess how the CHARTER Alliance is doing two years into the project duration and how we will move forward the next 2 years. \nThe open and free conference day on 30 November will focus on which digital competences are needed by the cultural heritage professionals and how the digital transition will shape the way people work in the near future. \nConference program and registration
