It will address practical approaches to security planning\, risk reduction\, and the implementation of effective protection measures in cultural heritage environments. \nOn the program: \n– Security concepts for museums\, depots\, and exhibition spaces\, including the main challenges and risks faced by cultural institutions. \n– Practical security measures and recommendations to improve protection and prevent losses. \n– Guidelines and technical requirements for developing effective security strategies\, based on the experience of insurers and security experts. \n– The role of standards\, expertise\, and collaboration between technical professionals\, insurers\, and public authorities in safeguarding cultural assets. \n  \nSpeaker: Mr. Paulus Vorderwülbecke \nGraduate Engineer (Mechanical Engineering)\, Paulus Vorderwülbecke has been working with VdS since 1995\, specialising in physical security\, the development of guidelines and security requirements\, and collaboration with technical experts at national and international level. \nSince 2008\, he has been Head of Department “Concept Development/Security” and has held several leadership positions within VdS\, including Head of Department “STGeo (GeoVeris and ZÜRS)/Security & Geo” since 2024 and Head of Department “Product Development/Security & Geo” since 2025.
