DESCRIPTION:The Center for Critical Conservation is based at the Bern Academy of the Arts in Switzerland. On December 3-4\, 2026 there will be held the Critical Conservation Assembly #1: Communities of Practice. \nAs the first public gathering in the Critical Conservation Assembly series\, the event invites participants to explore how communities of practice reshape conservation when it is understood as a collective practice that sustains and transmits knowledge\, values\, gestures\, and forms of communal life. \nBringing together scholars\, Indigenous custodians and knowledge holders\, artists\, craftspeople\, conservators\, curators\, community heritage practitioners\, activists\, and cultural workers\, the Assembly will create a space for collective knowledge production and exchange\, approaching conservation as a relational\, pluricultural\, and political practice. \nThe full programme and information about the speakers are available here: https://centerforcriticalconservation.com/1590-2/ \nThe event is free to attend and will take place both in person and online\, making it accessible to participants across regions and disciplines.

DESCRIPTION:Vortrag (online) von Clara Buchegger\, M.A.\, Projektleitung Restaurierungsatelier „Die Schmiede“\, Duisburg am 03.12.2026 um 17 Uhr: \nAsbesthaltige Kunst- und Kulturgüter stellen Restaurator:innen vor besondere Herausforderungen\, da Anforderungen des Gesundheitsschutzes und des Kulturguterhalts gleichermaßen berücksichtigt werden müssen.
