Online Conference „Focus on Conservation – Routes to Resilience“

2. Dezember - 5. Dezember

FOCUS ON CONSERVATION 2025 – ROUTES TO RESILIENCE
DECEMBER 2–5, 2025, ONLINE CONFERENCE,
FREE PARTICIPATION, REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Museums, as stewards of cultural heritage, face increasing challenges in safeguarding their collections. Changes in our physical, societal, and economic environments all pose risks to the preservation and conservation of cultural objects and the institutions that care for them. Continuing the „Focus on Conservation“ conference series, this online event will explore how cultural heritage professionals and institutions can build resilience in the face of these pressures. The 2025 convening will centre on strategies and approaches that support the long-term sustainability of collections, conservation practices, and institutions themselves.

This international event will explore how cultural heritage institutions can strengthen their resilience in the face of current and future challenges-including climate change, shifting societal expectations, and financial uncertainty.Structured around four key themes:
Resilient Collections & Spaces
Resilient Conservation Practice
Resilient Resources & Finances
Resilient Futures for Conservation

The conference will bring together global voices to share strategies, case studies, and insights that support sustainable conservation.
The event is free to attend, and open to all conservation professionals, heritage workers, researchers, and students.
More information on the programme and registration will follow soon.
